Meet Dr. James Cooper

I am so happy to be a dentist in Corpus Christi. Over the years I have seen my patients and their families grow and multiply. Each one is very special and presents an opportunity for new friendships. It is one of life’s great pleasures to meet the grandchildren and children of our family of patients.

Education and Experience

  • Undergraduate Degree – Northwestern University/University of Iowa
  • Doctorate of Dental Surgery – University of Iowa
  • General Dentistry Residency – US Air Force, Wilford Hall Medical Center, San Antonio, TX

Over these many years I have enjoyed learning more about dentistry. As our profession changes, it gives an opportunity to improve the service and quality of care I provide in the office, making sure that our patients receive the best care available. I do enjoy working hard and have been nominated as Dentist of the Year in Texas by the Texas Academy of General Dentistry.

I also have served the profession in many local and national organizations, including the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Nueces Valley District Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and American Academy of Dental Practice Administration.

Family and Community

When I am not working, I like to travel in our camper with my wife, Vicki, and our two dogs. We especially enjoy seeing new places and seeing the North Woods of Wisconsin in the hot summer days.

We are a very giving community here in Corpus Christi. I am a member of the Corpus Christi Mustangs, a group that has donated over five million dollars in services to city-wide charities.

It has been a pleasure to be a dentist in this community, and I am honored to have been a part of so many lives. What a great job! Thank you for this opportunity to work for you.
